First Baptist Preschool of Portland is a Christian childcare provider, who has been providing great care for 50+ years. A ministry of First Baptist Church located in Portland, Texas.
Our Mission
First Baptist Preschool is a ministry of First Baptist Church and our purpose is to promote the child’s total physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual development by encouraging a love of God as we know Him is Jesus Christ, a biblical view of self, creative self-expression, an attitude of cooperation and sharing, and an expanding knowledge of the world in which we live.
Our Philosophy
We believe that God created each child as a unique individual with his or her gifts to share. We will provide a warm, nurturing, accepting, clean, and safe environment where every child may grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, and emotionally at his or her rate of development.
Furthermore, we also believe that our family child care is a very important extension of you and your child’s family. With guidance and understanding, they will gain confidence and self-importance and have the opportunity to explore their world in a safe and controlled environment.
